The ITC Sankhya Data Centre in Bengaluru has been recognised by the US Green Building Council with the highest LEED Platinum certification in the Data Centre category, becoming the first in the world to achieve this distinction since the category was created in 2013. It has also earned the rare LEED Zero Carbon certification, further underscoring its sustainability leadership.
Located in Cox Town, the four-storeyed, 30,000 sq ft facility serves as ITC’s primary data centre and is considered among the most energy-efficient globally. Powered entirely by renewable energy, the centre incorporates high-efficiency cooling, water recycling through an on-site STP, LED-based lighting, and reflective roofing to minimise heat gain. The project uses only electric or manual maintenance equipment, and all exterior lighting is fully shielded to reduce light pollution
